Archbishop Seán P. O’Malley announced the appointment of Terrence C. Donilon to the position of Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Boston. In his new role, Donilon will serve as a member of the Archbishop’s Cabinet. He will oversee certain offices of the archdiocese including The Pilot and Boston Catholic Television (BCTV). He will also collaborate on communications and public affairs efforts of Caritas Christi and Catholic Charities.
“Terry Donilon is an experienced communicator who loves the Church. I have asked him to build a comprehensive internal and external communication program for the Archdiocese of Boston to support the mission of the Church,” said Archbishop O’Malley. “I look forward to working with him in this very important role.”
“I am honored and grateful to have the opportunity to work with Archbishop O’Malley and to serve the Archdiocese of Boston,” said Donilon. “The work of the Church is of great importance for the people of the Archdiocese and for the wider community, so many of whom are assisted and supported by programs and services sponsored by the Church. I look forward to collaborating with all who contribute to these efforts, priests and deacons, professional staff persons, religious men and women, members of the laity, and the archbishop’s Cabinet as together we go forward to strengthen and revitalize the Archdiocese of Boston.”
