NEW YORK (CNS) -- Here are some television program notes for the week of Nov. 14 with their TV Parental Guidelines ratings if available. They have not been reviewed and therefore are not necessarily recommended by Catholic News Service.
Sunday, Nov. 14, 4-5:30 a.m. EST (EWTN) "Holy Mass on the World Day of the Poor." Live broadcast from Rome's St. Peter's Basilica as Pope Francis celebrates the World Day of the Poor with a special Mass for the impoverished and the people who assist them. The liturgy will re-air noon-1:30 p.m. EST (TV-G -- general audience).
Monday, Nov. 15, 5-6:30 p.m. EST (EWTN) "Opening Mass of the USCCB Fall General Assembly." The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops begins its fall general assembly with a eucharistic liturgy (TV-G -- general audience).
Tuesday, Nov. 16, 10-11 p.m. EST (PBS) "American Exile." Filmmaker John J. Valadez's documentary profiles two Mexican American brothers who both served in the Vietnam War but are now facing deportation. Part of the series "Voces" (TV-14 -- parents strongly cautioned).
Friday, Nov. 19, 9-10:30 p.m. EST (PBS) "San Francisco Symphony Reopening Night." The San Francisco Symphony opens its 110th season and welcomes its new music director, Esa-Pekka Salonen. A "Great Performances" presentation (TV-G -- general audience).
