On Aug. 11 Sister Patricia Quinn, CSJ, formalized the next step of her formation process when she entered the novitiate of the Sisters of St. Joseph. At the end of August, Sister Pat, a Brockton native and 20-year resident of Whitman began a year of formal prayer and study. After graduating from Brockton High School studying at Southeastern Technical Institute and Massasoit College where she earned an associate science degree, she worked as a medical technologist. “Although I owned my own house and was quite settled into a good career, it wasn’t good enough,” she said. She began her journey towards the novitiate two years ago when, after months of listening to Sister Pat’s questions about religious life, her cousin, Sister Susan Reilly, CSJ, encouraged her to contact the Vocation Awareness Coordinator of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
