Father Donald G. Lozier, OMI, died on July 22, 2026, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence, Tewksbury. He was born in Leominster, son of the late Azade J. and Lydia (Richard) Lozier.

He entered the Oblate Novitiate in Colebrook, NH, in 1954, where he made his first profession. He was ordained a priest of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate on Sept. 15, 1960, at the St. Jean-Baptiste (French) Church, Lowell, by the late Bishop Jean Louis Joseph Collignon, OMI, of Les Cayes, Haiti.

Father Lozier began his ministry at the Ephpheta Retreat House in Manville, RI, serving both as a member of the Retreat Team and the Provincial Mission Band (1962-1963). He continued to serve as a member of the Retreat Team at the St. Paul Center in Augusta, Maine, for the next four years (1963-1968), and then the Oblate Retreat House in Hudson, NH (1968-1971). He returned to the Ephpheta Retreat House as the director of retreat programs (1971-1977). During this time, he received his doctorate in education at Boston University. He then began a 15-year ministry as a team member of the Marriage Encounter Movement. From 1992, he was a parochial vicar at Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish (French) in Lowell, before becoming the pastor at Holy Family Parish (formerly the French parishes of Ste. Marie and Sacred Heart) in Lowell in 2004. From 2015 to 2019, he was parochial vicar at Holy Family while residing at the Andre Garin Residence, Lowell, until he retired to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence in 2019.

Father Lozier's funeral Mass was celebrated on July 30 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, Tewksbury. Merrimack Regional Bishop Robert F. Hennessey celebrated the Final Commendation. Father Lozier was buried at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
