PROVIDENCE -- On the weekend of March 29-30, the New England CYO Basketball Tournament was held in Rhode Island, hosted by the Diocese of Providence. Both Catholic grammar schools and parish teams representing many dioceses from throughout New England competed for the New England CYO Basketball Championships.

Among the champions was St. Mary Parish in Franklin who, coached by John Palmer and Bill Lynch, took home the Senior Boys CYO Basketball New England Championship title, March 30.
