Regional confirmations for adults announced

BRIGHTON -- The Office for Canonical Affairs of the Archdiocese of Boston has announced the dates, times and locations for the regional celebrations of confirmation for adults.

Each year there are five celebrations, one in each pastoral region of the archdiocese. These celebrations of confirmation are for those adults who have not received the sacrament.

Adults who wish to be confirmed should contact their own parish for further information about the process. They may also contact the office for Canonical Affairs (617-746-5651), the office of the respective regional bishop (cf. below), or as a last resort your humble author (617-746-5873) who might be able to assist as well.

Central: Bishop Robert Hennessey (617-269-4001) at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish, Cambridge on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m.

Merrimack: Bishop Emilio Allué, SDB, (978-399-0000) at St. John the Evangelist Parish, Chelmsford on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m.

North: Bishop Francis Irwin (978-531-1013) at St. Raphael, Medford on Friday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m.

South: Bishop John Dooher (781-337-4413) at St. Jerome Parish, Weymouth on Sunday April 22 at 2 p.m.

West: Bishop Walter Edyvean (508-647-0296) at St. Patrick Parish, Natick on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m.
