O’Connor named BC High VP for Institutional Advancement

BOSTON -- William J. Kemeza, president of Boston College High School, has announced the appointment of Michele O’Connor of Waltham as the school’s vice president for institutional advancement.

O’Connor, who holds an undergraduate degree from St. Anselm College and a master’s degree from Suffolk University, previously held the post on an interim basis. Her selection was made permanent last week.

O’Connor first came to BC High as director of development in 2005 and brings fundraising experience to the school from Stonehill College, St. Anselm College, and the campaigns for Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey and Treasurer Joe Malone. As vice president for advancement, O’Connor will oversee an office staff which includes fundraising, alumni affairs, planned giving and communications. Additionally, she is responsible for BC High’s $40 million capital campaign, Renaissance: The Campaign for Boston College High School.
