Archbishop Seán P. O’Malley has accepted the resignations of four archdiocesan pastors. The affected parishes are in four of the five pastoral regions of the archdiocese.

Father Henry Doherty will be leaving St. Mary of the Sacred Heart, Hanover, South Region; and Father Charles McCoy, St. Philip Neri, in Newton’s Waban section, West Region, each when his successor is named. Likewise in the Merrimack Region, Father John Leonard will leave St. Ann Parish, West Newbury on the appointment of his successor, while Father Daniel Hegarty leaves St. Anthony, in Boston’s Allston section, a change affecting the Central Region on Sept. 1.
