  • DAILY CATHOLIC MASS 3/7/26 | The Prodigal Love of God: Mercy, Restoration, and the Father’s Heart

Welcome! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Saturday of the Second Week of Lent. In today’s stirring Homily, the celebrant explores the "tender love and mercy" God has for every one of us. Drawing from the profound Parable of the Prodigal Son, he reflects on how God does not "persist in anger" but delights in clemency, casting our sins into the depths of the sea. We are reminded that no matter how far we may wander, the Father is always watching the horizon, ready to welcome us back with a "glorious healing remedy". This Mass is a powerful invitation to move beyond our past mistakes and become "partakers of the things of heaven," trusting that God’s grace is greater than any "burden" we carry. The Scriptures highlight the unyielding faithfulness and extravagant forgiveness of our God: -The First Reading (Micah 7:14-15, 18-20): The prophet Micah petitions the Lord to shepherd His people with His staff, recalling the wonders of the Exodus. He proclaims the unique nature of our God: "Who is there like you, the God who removes guilt and pardons sin?". -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 103): A song of Divine compassion: "The Lord is kind and merciful". -The Holy Gospel (Luke 15:1-3, 11-32): Jesus tells the parable of a father and his two sons. When the younger son returns home after squandering his inheritance, the father runs to meet him, filled with compassion. Despite the resentment of the elder brother, the father insists on celebrating, declaring: "My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours. But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found". May these Divine Sacraments fill the inner depths of our hearts and make us true partakers of God’s grace. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:06 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:06 -First Reading: 2:47 -Responsorial Psalm: 3:54 -Gospel: 6:22 -Homily: 10:54 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 14:50 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 16:26 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 17:44 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:54 -Communion: 25:07 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 26:45 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Saturday of the Second Week of Lent. -Gospel Focus: The Heart of the Father; Jesus reveals that God’s joy is found in the restoration of the lost, teaching us that true repentance is met with a celebration that transcends our human concepts of fairness. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "ask what is pleasing to you," allowing the mercy of God to open our hearts to praise Him and serve one another with the same love we have received. • DAILY CATHOLIC MASS 3/6/26 | Beloved Son and Stone Rejected: Jealousy, Redemption, and the Vineyard

Welcome! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Friday of the Second Week of Lent. In today’s reverent Homily, Father Richard Clancy reflects on the "sacred practice of penance" and the journey toward the holy things to come. Drawing from the story of Joseph and the Parable of the Wicked Tenants, Father Clancy explores the destructive power of jealousy and the wondrous way God brings redemption out of rejection. We are encouraged to set our course toward the "pledge of eternal salvation," trusting that the stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone of our faith. This Mass is a powerful call to sincerity of heart as we prepare for the mystery of Christ's Passion and Resurrection. The Scriptures highlight the pattern of betrayal and the triumph of God’s plan: -The First Reading (Genesis 37:3-28): Israel loves Joseph best of all his sons, giving him a long tunic, which stirs the hatred and jealousy of his brothers. When they see him from a distance, they plot to kill the "master dreamer," but at Judah's suggestion, they instead sell him into slavery to Ishmaelite traders for twenty pieces of silver. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 105): A reminder of God's providence: "Remember the marvels the Lord has done". -The Holy Gospel (Matthew 21:33-46): Jesus tells the parable of a landowner who plants a vineyard and leases it to tenants. When he sends his son to collect the produce, the tenants kill him, thinking they will acquire his inheritance. Jesus asks the Pharisees what the owner will do to those tenants and then quotes the Scripture: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes". May the redemption promised grant us health of mind and body, and may we merit the defense of God's protection through our constancy in good deeds. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:01 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 1:50 -First Reading: 2:19 -Responsorial Psalm: 4:44 -Gospel: 7:02 -Homily: 9:07 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 14:32 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 15:52 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 17:13 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:18 -Communion: 24:56 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 27:05 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Friday of the Second Week of Lent. -Gospel Focus: The Cornerstone of Faith; Jesus identifies Himself as the Son in the parable, revealing that His rejection and death are the very means by which God establishes the new and eternal Kingdom. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "attain the redemption you promise" by setting our course well through penance, allowing God to transform the wickedness of human rejection into the wonderful victory of His grace. • DAILY CATHOLIC MASS 3/5/26 | The Choice of Life: Following Christ and the Way of the Cross

Welcome! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Thursday of the Second Week of Lent. In today’s reverent Homily, Father Bobby LeBlanc invites us to look deeply into the "fire of the Spirit" to find steadfastness in our faith. Drawing from the solemn exhortation of Moses and the radical call of Jesus, Father LeBlanc explores the fundamental choice set before every believer: the choice between life and death, blessing and curse. We are encouraged to "deny ourselves" and take up our cross daily, trusting that God’s grace is the essential support for our human weakness. This Mass serves as a powerful reminder that our path to holiness is found in "holding fast" to the Lord and seeking the eternal gifts that the Spirit alone can bestow. May this Sacrifice remain active in its effects, working ever more strongly within us to make us effective in works of charity. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 0:58 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 1:50 -First Reading: 2:20 -Responsorial Psalm: 3:35 -Gospel: 5:48 -Homily: 7:47 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 14:07 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 15:24 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 17:13 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:25 -Communion: 24:34 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 27:00 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Thursday of the Second Week of Lent. -Gospel Focus: The Theology of the Cross; Jesus teaches that authentic life is not found in the accumulation of worldly profit, but in the sacrificial surrender of one's own will to the mission of the Father. -Homily Key Message: We are called to be "steadfast in faith," recognizing that our Lenten journey is a time to purify our desires and direct our hearts toward the way everlasting. • DAILY CATHOLIC MASS 3/4/26 | The Call to Service: True Greatness and the Heart of Jeremiah

Welcome! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Wednesday of the Second Week of Lent. In today’s stirring Homily, Father Bob Connors reflects on the Lenten challenge to look in the mirror and face our "true self"—the person God created for a specific purpose. Drawing from the trials of the Prophet Jeremiah and the ambition of the sons of Zebedee, Father Bob reminds us that discipleship is not about seeking places of honor, but about the courage to "own the danger" of following Christ. We are encouraged to move past our "myopic and selective" ways of responding to God, instead embracing a life of service that mirrors the Son of Man. This Mass is a powerful invitation to renew our commitment to being "better disciples" by giving our lives as a ransom for others. The Scriptures highlight the cost of the prophetic calling and the path to true leadership: -The First Reading (Jeremiah 18:18-20): The people of Judah plot against Jeremiah, seeking to destroy him "by his own tongue". Jeremiah pleads with God, asking if good should be repaid with evil and reminding the Lord that he stood before Him to speak on their behalf. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 31): A prayer of trust amidst opposition: "Save me, O Lord, in your kindness". -The Holy Gospel (Matthew 20:17-28): As Jesus goes up to Jerusalem, He foretells His Passion for the third time. In sharp contrast, the mother of James and John asks for her sons to sit at His right and left in the kingdom. Jesus uses this "helicopter mom" moment to teach that "whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant". May the pledge of immortality we receive today work for our eternal salvation and lead us graciously to the gifts of heaven. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:03 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:09 -First Reading: 2:39 -Responsorial Psalm: 3:29 -Gospel: 5:42 -Homily: 7:48 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 12:27 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 13:56 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 14:49 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:00 -Communion: 24:26 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 27:00 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Wednesday of the Second Week of Lent. -Gospel Focus: The Inversion of Power; Jesus redefines greatness not by authority or dominance, but by the "chalice" of suffering and the willingness to serve, establishing Himself as the ultimate ransom for humanity. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "outreach and care" for others, remembering that the Son of Man came to serve; our Lenten practices are an opportunity to align our false outward selves with the true self where Jesus resides. • DAILY CATHOLIC MASS 3/3/26 | Practicing What We Preach and the Example of St. Katharine Drexel

Welcome! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Tuesday of the Second Week of Lent as we honor the Memorial of St. Katharine Drexel. In today’s profound Homily, Father Eric Cadin reflects on the Lenten call to interior communion. Drawing from Jesus’ critique of the scribes and Pharisees, Father Eric reminds us that God desires a faithfulness that encompasses both mind and heart, where our words and actions are unified in Him. We are encouraged to offer the "sacrifice of praise"—a spirit of thanksgiving that recognizes who God is and who we are in relation to Him. This Mass invites us to surrender our lives in service to others, conforming ourselves to the one Master, the Christ, who exalts those who humble themselves. The Scriptures highlight the necessity of active justice and the virtue of humility: -The First Reading (Isaiah 1:10-20): The Lord issues a stern command to "wash yourselves clean" and "cease doing evil". He emphasizes that religious ritual is secondary to moral action: "Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan’s plea, defend the widow". God offers the beautiful promise that though sins be like scarlet, they may become "white as snow" through obedience and conversion. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 50): A declaration of divine priority: "To the upright I will show the saving power of God". -The Holy Gospel (Matthew 23:1-12): Jesus warns His disciples against the example of the religious leaders who "preach but do not practice". He instructs the faithful to eschew titles of honor and worldly recognition, declaring that "the greatest among you must be your servant". May the refreshment of this sacred table bring us an increase in devoutness and the constant help of God’s work of conciliation. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:00 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:23 -First Reading: 3:15 -Responsorial Psalm: 4:25 -Gospel: 6:52 -Homily: 8:35 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 13:01 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 14:37 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 15:48 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:41 -Communion: 25:19 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 26:52 Theological & Liturgical Context -Feast Day: Memorial of St. Katharine Drexel, Virgin, who worked for justice among the Native American and African American peoples. -Gospel Focus: The Communion of Life; Jesus calls us to a holistic faith where words and actions are in communion with each other and with God, warning that exalting oneself leads to being humbled. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "relieve the weariness of our souls" by offering God a contrite heart and resolving to pour out our lives for others, just as Christ did on the Cross.
