  • Catholic Mass Today | Wednesday April 15, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network as we continue our joyous celebration of Easter Wednesday within the Octave of Easter. We gather to be filled with the Lord's joy and love, asking Him to cleanse us of all that is not of God so that we may share in His true life. In today’s reverent Homily, Father Michael Della Penna reflects on the Greek word Zoe—the "true life" that God longs for us to share. Drawing from the radical communal life of the first believers and Jesus’ iconic words to Nicodemus, we explore how the Resurrection transforms our relationship with the world and its possessions. We are encouraged to move from our "former ways to newness of life," recognizing that God sent His Son not to condemn the world, but to save it. This Mass is a powerful invitation to live in the light, allowing our deeds to be seen as done in God as we strive to be of "one heart and mind". May the heavenly mysteries we celebrate today lead us to a life of sincerity and exultation, safe in the light of the Risen Christ. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 0:59 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:38 -First Reading: 3:19 -Responsorial Psalm: 5:06 -Gospel: 7:40 -Homily: 9:04 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 14:45 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 16:09 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 17:35 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:57 -Communion: 25:06 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 26:58 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Wednesday within the Octave of Easter. -Gospel Focus: The Light of Salvation; Jesus clarifies that God's primary intent is not judgment but life—offering His Son as a bridge so that the "victory of Jesus over death" can become a lived reality for all who choose to step out of the shadows and into the truth. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "pass from former ways to newness of life"; by participating in this "great prayer," we receive the "peace the world cannot give," enabling us to serve one another with the same radical charity that characterized the first generation of Christians. • Catholic Mass Today | Tuesday April 14, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network for the joyous celebration of Easter Tuesday within the Octave of Easter. We are overcome with paschal joy as we gather to proclaim the power of the Risen Lord and receive the pledge of His eternal gift. In today’s reverent liturgy, Father Brian Clary reflects on the radical unity and "holy exchange" that defines the early Church and our own lives in Christ. Drawing from the communal life of the first believers and Jesus’ teaching on the "wind" of the Spirit, we explore what it means to be a "new creation". We are encouraged to move beyond earthly parentage and be "born from above," allowing the Spirit to lead us into a life where we are truly of "one heart and mind". This Mass is a powerful invitation to announce the Gospel of the Lord with our lives, trusting that the Son of Man was lifted up so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. The Scriptures highlight the witness of the early community and the mystery of the Spirit: -The First Reading (Acts 4:32-37): The community of believers is of one heart and mind, with no one claiming any possessions as their own, but rather holding everything in common. With great power, the Apostles bear witness to the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and there is no needy person among them because those who own property sell it and lay the proceeds at the feet of the Apostles. Joseph, a Levite surnamed Barnabas (meaning "son of encouragement"), is highlighted for selling his property and donating the proceeds to the community. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 93): A declaration of God's sovereignty: "The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty". -The Holy Gospel (John 3:7b-15): Jesus continues His conversation with Nicodemus, explaining that one must be born from above and that the Spirit "blows where it wills". When Nicodemus asks how these things can happen, Jesus speaks of the necessity of the Son of Man being lifted up—just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert—so that all who believe may have eternal life. May this most holy exchange by which we have been redeemed bring us help in this present life and ensure for us eternal gladness. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:05 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:15 -First Reading: 2:52 -Responsorial Psalm: 3:58 -Gospel: 6:22 -Homily: 8:10 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 14:03 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 15:16 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 17:04 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:51 -Communion: 25:03 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 27:01 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Tuesday within the Octave of Easter. -Gospel Focus: The Necessity of Spiritual Rebirth; Jesus reveals that seeing the Kingdom requires a transformation that transcends earthly origins, centered on the "lifting up" of the Son of Man as the definitive source of healing and eternal life for all who believe. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "proclaim the power of the risen Lord"; by participating in this liturgy, we enter into a "holy exchange" where our sins are pardoned and we are safe in the light of Christ, enabling us to serve the community with the same "exultation and sincerity" seen in the early Church. • Catholic Mass Today | Monday April 13, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network as we continue the joyous celebration of the Octave of Easter. On this Easter Monday, we gather to celebrate the "victory of Jesus over death" and ask for the grace to be transformed into the image of our heavenly Maker. In today’s reverent liturgy, the celebrant explores the necessity of being "born from above" to see the Kingdom of God. Drawing from the bold prayer of the early Church in the Acts of the Apostles and Jesus’ nocturnal conversation with Nicodemus, we reflect on how the Resurrection transcends our earthly parentage. We are encouraged to move beyond a life in the flesh to a life in the Spirit, where we can speak the Word of God with boldness even in the face of trial. This Mass is a powerful invitation to allow the "paschal remedies" to renew our hearts, making us true witnesses to the Sovereign Lord of heaven and earth. The Scriptures highlight the prayer of the persecuted Church and the mystery of spiritual rebirth: -The First Reading (Acts 4:23-31): After their release from the authorities, Peter and John return to the community and report the threats they received. The believers raise their voices with one accord, acknowledging God as the maker of all things and asking for the courage to speak His Word with all boldness. As they pray, the place where they are gathered shakes, and they are all filled with the Holy Spirit. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 2): A declaration of divine kingship: "Blessed are all who take refuge in the Lord". -The Holy Gospel (John 3:1-8): Nicodemus, a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews, comes to Jesus at night, recognizing Him as a teacher from God. Jesus tells him, "No one can see the Kingdom of God without being born from above". He explains that while flesh begets flesh, the Spirit begets spirit, comparing the work of the Holy Spirit to the wind that blows where it wills. May the eternal mysteries we celebrate today lead us to attain the incorruptible glory of the Resurrection in our own lives. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:11 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:05 -First Reading: 2:45 -Responsorial Psalm: 4:32 -Gospel: 7:13 -Homily: 9:08 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 11:14 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 12:33 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 15:06 -The Lord's Prayer: 21:41 -Communion: 24:43 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 27:03 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Monday within the Octave of Easter. -Gospel Focus: The Mystery of Spiritual Rebirth; Jesus reveals that the Resurrection introduces a new way of being human—not just of the flesh, but of the Spirit—challenging believers to leave behind "earthly parentage" and be transformed by a grace that, like the wind, is invisible yet powerful in its effects. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "attain in our flesh the incorruptible glory of the resurrection"; by participating in these "eternal mysteries," we find the strength to raise our voices in one accord with the early Church, asking for the grace to live as a "new creation" in the Risen Christ. • Catholic Mass Today | Sunday April 12, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Happy Sunday! Join The CatholicTV Network for the profound celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, the Second Sunday of Easter. We are delighted to welcome Father Frank Sevola, OFM, Guardian of the St. Anthony Shrine in Boston, as our celebrant for this sacred liturgy. In today’s reverent Homily, Father Sevola, OFM, explores the "most merciful" heart of Jesus Christ and the gift of peace He offers to a troubled world. Drawing from the communal life of the early Church in the Acts of the Apostles and the appearance of the Risen Lord to the disciples, we reflect on how the Resurrection brings about a "continuing effect" in our minds and hearts. We are encouraged to approach the Lord in prayer and confession, allowing His mercy to heal our wounds and reconcile us to the Father. This Mass is a powerful invitation to "love and serve the Lord and one another," living as a community of faith that proclaims the victory of life over death. The Scriptures highlight the unity of the first believers and the institution of the Sacrament of Mercy: -The First Reading (Acts 2:42-47): The early Christian community devotes itself to the teaching of the Apostles, the communal life, the "breaking of the bread," and the prayers. They hold all things in common, eating their meals with "exultation and sincerity of heart" while the Lord adds to their number daily those who were being saved. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 118): A proclamation of eternal fidelity: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love is everlasting". -The Second Reading (1 Peter 1:3-9): Peter writes about the gift of faith that we are able to joyously participate in. -The Holy Gospel (John 20:19-31): On the evening of the first day of the week, the Risen Jesus appears to the disciples behind locked doors, saying, "Peace be with you". He breathes on them, giving them the Holy Spirit and the power to forgive sins. When Thomas, who was absent, later expresses doubt, Jesus appears again eight days later, inviting him to touch His wounds, leading Thomas to exclaim, "My Lord and my God!". May the Sacrament we have received today lead us to the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:21 -Gloria: 2:13 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 3:07 -First Reading: 3:46 -Responsorial Psalm: 4:46 -Second Reading: 6:30 -Gospel: 8:33 -Homily: 10:58 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 18:14 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 20:19 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 20:53 -The Lord's Prayer: 24:20 -Communion: 26:03 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 26:55 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Second Sunday of Easter / Divine Mercy Sunday. -Gospel Focus: The Gift of Reconciliation; Jesus’ appearance to the disciples establishes the Church as the vessel of His mercy, showing that His peace is the remedy for fear and that faith is confirmed through the personal encounter with His Risen and wounded Body. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "think of what is above"; by participating in the "meal of love," we are transformed into witnesses who, like the early Church, find joy in communal life and the "breaking of the bread," trusting in the "most merciful" Lord to guide us. • Catholic Mass Today | Saturday April 11, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network for the joyous celebration of Easter Saturday, concluding the extraordinary Octave of Easter. We gather in our chapel to celebrate the "victory of Jesus over death" and to pray for the grace to be true witnesses of His Resurrection in our daily lives. In today’s reverent liturgy, the celebrant reflects on the transformation of the disciples from doubt and fear to "incorruptible glory" and bold proclamation. Drawing from the courage of Peter and John before the Sanhedrin and Jesus’ final commission in Mark’s Gospel, we explore what it means to be a "new creation" in Christ. We are encouraged to let the "sacrament of your Son" cleanse us from our old ways, making us worthy of the heavenly gifts and the eternal salvation Christ has won. This Mass is a powerful invitation to go forth into the world, refusing to remain silent about the wonders we have seen and heard. The Scriptures highlight the irrepressible nature of the apostolic witness: -The First Reading (Acts 4:13-21): The leaders and elders of the Sanhedrin are amazed by the boldness of Peter and John, recognizing them as companions of Jesus. Despite being strictly ordered to no longer speak or teach in the name of Jesus, the Apostles respond: "It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard". Unable to find a way to punish them because all the people were praising God for the miraculous healing of the crippled man, the council releases them. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 118): A song of thanksgiving for deliverance: "I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me". -The Holy Gospel (Mark 16:9-15): The Risen Jesus appears first to Mary Magdalene and later to two disciples on the road, yet the Eleven remain unbelieving. Finally, Jesus appears to the Eleven themselves as they are at table, rebuking them for their "unbelief and hardness of heart" because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been raised. He then gives them the ultimate mission: "Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature". May the eternal mysteries we have received today lead us to attain the incorruptible glory of the Resurrection in our own flesh. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 0:57 -Gloria: 2:00 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:45 -First Reading: 3:16 -Responsorial Psalm: 4:57 -Gospel: 7:55 -Homily: 9:14 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 11:24 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 12:24 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 14:11 -The Lord's Prayer: 23:26 -Communion: 25:17 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 27:10 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Saturday within the Octave of Easter. -Gospel Focus: The Mandate of the Risen Lord; Jesus’ rebuke of the Apostles’ initial doubt highlights that faith is a gift received through the testimony of others, which must then be transformed into an active mission to "every creature," leaving no part of the world untouched by the light of the Gospel. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "attain in our flesh the incorruptible glory of the resurrection"; by participating in these "eternal mysteries," we find the strength to overcome our own "hardness of heart" and become bold instruments of God's grace in a world that needs the hope of the Risen Christ. • Catholic Mass Today | Friday April 10, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network as we continue the joyous celebration of Easter Friday within the Octave of Easter. We gather as a holy family to proclaim the victory of Jesus over death and to be nourished by His living presence. In today’s reverent liturgy, the celebrant explores the profound mystery of the Risen Lord’s interaction with His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. Drawing from the bold witness of Peter before the Sanhedrin and the miraculous catch of fish, we are reminded that Jesus is the "victor" who reigns over every nation and brings "light to those in darkness". We are encouraged to recognize that our redemption, won through the Passion, is a source of eternal joy and that there is "no other name under heaven" by which we must be saved. This Mass is a powerful invitation to keep safe the kindness the Lord has shown us, rejoicing in the resurrection that restores us to life in the Spirit. The Scriptures highlight the cornerstone of our faith and the abundance of the Risen Life: -The First Reading (Acts 4:1-12): Peter and John are confronted by the priests and Sadducees for teaching the resurrection of the dead. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter declares that the crippled man was healed by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean—the stone rejected by the builders which has become the cornerstone. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 118): A declaration of victory: "The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone". -The Holy Gospel (John 21:1-14): Seven disciples return to fishing but catch nothing through the night. At dawn, Jesus stands on the shore and directs them to cast their net over the right side, resulting in a catch of 153 large fish. The beloved disciple exclaims, "It is the Lord!" and Jesus invites them to "Come, have breakfast," as He reveals Himself for the third time to His disciples. May the Lord keep safe those whom He has saved by His kindness, so that redeemed by the Passion, we may always rejoice in His Resurrection. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 0:57 -Gloria: 1:38 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:23 -First Reading: 2:54 -Responsorial Psalm: 5:01 -Gospel: 7:25 -Homily: 9:25 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 13:54 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 14:56 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 16:18 -The Lord's Prayer: 21:34 -Communion: 24:15 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 26:48 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Friday within the Octave of Easter. -Gospel Focus: The Lord of the Abundant Catch; Jesus reveals His Risen presence in the midst of ordinary work, showing that apart from Him, our labors are fruitless, but through His Word, we receive an abundance that points to the ultimate "meal of love" in His kingdom. -Homily Key Message: We are called to "rejoice in his resurrection" with a scepter of peace; by acknowledging that Jesus is the "victor" out of every nation, we find the courage to proclaim the "pardon and peace" He brings to every sinner. • Catholic Mass Today | Thursday April 9, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network as we continue our celebration of Easter Thursday within the joyous Octave of Easter. We are united this morning with our global family of faith, bringing our hearts to the altar to celebrate the Lord who has truly risen and is with us everywhere. In today’s reverent liturgy, the celebrant reflects on the enduring presence of the Risen Christ, who is "alive in the church," "alive in his Word," and "especially present in the sacraments". Drawing from the miraculous healing of the crippled man and Jesus’ appearance to the startled disciples, we explore how the Resurrection transforms our ignorance into witness and our fear into peace. We are encouraged to let our hearts be filled with "great faith, hope, and love," recognizing that the Lord sees us, knows us, and loves us infinitely as He offers us His gift of peace. This Mass is a powerful invitation to be reborn in the "font of baptism" and to be one in the "faith of our hearts and the homage of our deeds". The Scriptures highlight the fulfillment of prophecy and the reality of the Risen Body: -The First Reading (Acts 3:11-26): Peter addresses the amazed crowd at Solomon’s Portico after the healing of the crippled man. He proclaims that God has glorified His servant Jesus, whom they handed over, but whom God "raised from the dead". Peter calls them to repentance so that their sins may be wiped away and that they may receive the "times of refreshment" promised through the prophets. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 8): A hymn of wonder: "O Lord our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!". -The Holy Gospel (Luke 24:35-48): While the disciples are recounting how Jesus was made known in the breaking of the bread, the Risen Lord stands in their midst, saying, "Peace be with you". To prove He is not a ghost, He shows them His hands and feet and eats a piece of baked fish in their presence. Jesus then opens their minds to understand that everything written in the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms had to be fulfilled, commissioning them as "witnesses of these things". May the most holy exchange of this Eucharist bring us help in this present life and ensure for us eternal gladness. Mass Chapters for Navigation -Introductory Rites / Penitential Act: 1:00 -Gloria: 1:37 -Collect (Opening Prayer): 2:24 -First Reading: 2:51 -Responsorial Psalm: 5:40 -Gospel: 8:27 -Homily: 10:07 -Prayers Of The Faithful: 14:48 -Liturgy of the Eucharist Begins: 15:49 -Eucharistic Prayer / Consecration: 17:22 -The Lord's Prayer: 22:19 -Communion: 24:31 -Concluding Rites / Final Blessing: 26:15 Theological & Liturgical Context -Season: Thursday within the Octave of Easter. -Gospel Focus: The Corporeal Reality of the Resurrection; Jesus emphasizes His physical presence—flesh and bones—to dispel the fear that He is a mere spirit, showing that the "victory of Jesus over death" involves the redemption of the whole person and establishing His "Peace be with you" as the definitive greeting of the New Creation. -Homily Key Message: We are reminded that "the Lord is risen, and he is with us"; as an "Easter people," we are called to keep the Scriptures close at hand and to recognize Him in the "Holy Eucharist," allowing His presence to fill our hearts with the peace that the world cannot give. • Catholic Mass Today | Wednesday April 8, 2026 | CatholicTV Daily Mass

Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network as we celebrate Easter Wednesday within the Octave of Easter. We gather around the table of the Lord to be transformed into a "new creation," reflecting on the enduring power of the Resurrection in our daily lives. In today’s reverent liturgy, the celebrant explores how the Risen Christ continues to reveal Himself through the "breaking of the bread" and the "power of His name". Drawing from the miraculous healing at the Beautiful Gate and the Emmaus journey, we are reminded that the sacrament we receive is a "heavenly remedy" intended to cleanse us of our old ways. This Mass is a powerful invitation to ask the Lord to "stay with us," opening our eyes to His presence in the scriptures and in one another as we walk our own road of faith. The Scriptures highlight the apostolic power and the recognition of the Risen Savior: -The First Reading (Acts 3:1-10): Peter and John encounter a man crippled from birth begging at the temple gate called Beautiful. Peter declares, "I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, rise and walk". The man is instantly healed, leaping up and praising God, leaving the people filled with amazement. -The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 105): A song of joy for God's works: "Rejoice, O hearts that seek the Lord". -The Holy Gospel (Luke 24:13-35): Two disciples are walking to Emmaus, downcast over the death of Jesus, when the Risen Lord joins them unrecognized. He explains the scriptures to them, showing how the Christ had to suffer to enter His glory.
